Slovenia is known to be green and what am I about to tell you is probably one of the greenest things you can do. There is a festival in the south of the country named Wild flavours of Karst where you can from 5 Apr to 5 May 2019 taste some wild flowers, herbs, spices and fruits. Deliciously and beautifully prepared.

I was lucky enough to be part of a presentation of this festival in a restaurant called "Gostilna Skok" where different restaurants and farm presented their food, which was simply put amazing.

Not sure what to expect? Wild asparagus, ramson, commonly known as a wild garlic, nettle, wild thyme, wild mint... even eatable, colourful blossoms. All beautifully designed or should I say very instagramable.

    Tjaša

After writing a blog in Slovenian language for 10 years I have finally come to my sense and started writing one in English as well.

I'll share with you beautiful places worth visiting in Slovenia and around it. I'll also talk about general things tourist should know and of course I'll write about food, drinks and accommodation, essentials for any visitor.

I am writing about my personal recommendations that are not influenced by any sponsors. But please, don't expect new post every day. ;)
